The mission of Vechij Himdag Alternative School Inc. is to educate and encourage at-risk youth within the Gila River Indian Community to fully realize their human potential. Vechij Himdag Alternative School Inc. emphasizes the intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth necessary for a healthy and productive lifestyle. Our strong holistic educational program is built upon a foundation of Akimel O’odham tradition, with special emphasis on sharing and service to others.
